The 'BE the Change' Campaign
Social Evolution are committed to building up the quality of life in Britain today. The first step on our journey as a community of communities was to provide a stronger voice for local communities and those groups and organisations that are working hard to strengthen and support cohesion and justice in our communities.
Through our networks and communication loops we are kept well informed of the many campaigns and policy changes that affect people living in the UK today and we are in a sound position to identify the core frustrations and negative trends, that if not challenged will lead to a further degradation of Society and will adversely affect the positive hard work that is being done at both a National and Community level.
You only have to pick up a newspaper or turn on the TV to see that there is an alarming gap appearing between those who are in a position to make real change and those in the communities that are affected by that change - simply put, the people on the ground do not feel that their opinion counts and that Politicians and big business have become too distanced and too complacent with a 'we know whats better for you' attitude.
People have very strong opinions and some amazing ideas that could go a long way to addressing the negativity surrounding the Housing crisis, the credit crunch, petrol prices, increases in gun and knife crime, voter apathy, etc and it is easy to see how people in the UK today are justified in feeling that everything is getting progressively out of control and they are getting to the point where they have had enough and something must change.
Social Evolution urges people of all backgrounds living in Britain today to join together and be the positive, sustainable and inspirational change that our nation is crying out for. "Be the change you wish to see in the World" is a very powerful and enlightening quote taken from Mahatma Ghandi and that quote is the inspiration and ground-rule for the Social Evolution 'BE the Change' campaign.
This a a campaign of positive action that encourages people to become involved, influence the political processes and take a stand to promote inspirational change in themselves and others.
People constantly tell us that they no longer feel that anyone cares, that all they are is a statistic, a bill payer or a post code and this is not acceptable to anyone who believes in the human spirit or campaigns for human rights or against injustice.
We, the people of the UK, have a say in how our society develops and how we expect our leaders to conduct themselves - politicians are responsible to the electorate, businesses are responsible to their shareholders and the Social Evolution 'BE the Change' campaign demands that those people act in a way that espouses morality, good ethics and social responsibility.
The people of the UK are tired of being used and their ideas and aspirations ignored and if we do not get behind this positive campaign then that negative energy will spill out in ways that will lead to further misery and anger. Social Evolution are asking that you choose another path and support our 'BE the Change' campaign.
